Baby Room Fun

I have been spending waaay too much time on pintrest lately looking for baby girl room inspiration. There has never been a question for me on whether I would use pink in the room but which Pink and how to use it.
If I could replicate this room, I absolutely would. Everything except the bedding is exactly what I want. I love the bright bold Pink on the wall contrasted by the pale grey.
And I just came across this room this morning and am IN LOVE with the grey stripes on the wall (not sure that hubby is gonna love that idea).
I found these curtains and fell in love, they are so delicate and feminine. A couple of weekends ago, my BFF Abby and I went to scour Houston for fabric since I had no luck here. We found a ton of cute ones and since I can't seem to make my mind up I just came home with swatches.
I am deeply in love with the grey and white damask and it will definitely be used for the bedding but I am not in love with another swatch for the coordinating fabric. The current front runner is the pink with the grey polka dots but I'm not sold yet so the search will go on.
I plan to make (or have a loving sister of mine make :) ) the bumper and skirt for the crib. I have visions of what I want in my head so we'll see how it goes...

21 Weeks

The downhill side, woohoo.

Although I still feel like I have a reeeeally long way to go.

I am trying to stay in the moment and not look too much ahead, but when your moments consist of realizing that you can no longer see you feet when you look down, the future looks pretty appealing.

One of my neighbors recently had a baby girl and she is the most precious thing and I just want to steal all her snuggles every chance I get and then one of my other neighbors sweet baby just turned one and I can't believe it's been a year.

They really grow up soo fast, not that one is grown, but definitely not a baby anymore.

I try to remind myself to take in each moment and enjoy them for what they are, the LAST time that I will be pregnant. And even though I DO NOT enjoy being pregnant at all, I love the precious newborn that it gets me.

So I will try and refocus from not being able to see my feet to realizing that this baby girl inside of me is getting bigger everyday. And even if that means that I feel as big as a house, it will all be worth it...

Weekend Recap

We had a fantastic weekend traveling all over this great state.
We drove to Palestine on Friday night so that we could drop off the boys at Nana's house, on Saturday we drove to Dallas for the big event, then on Sunday drove back to Palestine to pick up the boys and then drove home. We logged alot of miles this weekend. And we are so thankful for Nana and Papa being willing to watch the boys for us.
This weekend was the annual Burn's night celebration that Mike and I attend every year with his family. We always have a great time and this year was no exception.
I totally slacked in the picture taking department. We took one family pic with the event photographer (so I won't have a copy for a while), and I didn't remember to take a pic of myself in my dress until the end of the night in the hotel room.
So this is me in my dress. I think I can count this as my 20 week picture. As I'm looking at it now I realize that baby bump looks gigantic! Good gracious...and to think I'm only half way there.

Halfway Point- 20 Weeks!!!!

Yesterday officially marked 20 weeks into this pregnancy, WOOHOO!!
Why am I posting today and not yesterday you might be asking yourself?
Well, yesterday I felt awful! Exhausted, couldn't keep food down all afternoon, exhausted.
Looking back it was totally my own fault and I will NOT be making the same mistake again.
All throughout this pregnancy I have craved fresh produce, fruits and veggies, whateverI can get my hands on, I haven't been real picky.
Well yesterday, I was on my way to get Subway for lunch when I saw the Golden Arches on the horizon and they looked SOOO good. I changed my course and whipped through the drive through.
And that's when the course of my day changed...
Before I could even finish eating that deliciouse Quarter Pounder with Cheese, my stomach was flipping upside down.
I didn't even get to finish all of it before it decided to come right back up (TMI, I'm sure).
And even after it came back up, my stomach was upset for the rest of the day. I left work and went home to crash.
Lesson learned, I can not eat crap anymore!
I should consider myself lucky, hopefully it will help me not gain crazy pounds.
Baby Girl has become alot more active this week and Mike was able to feel her moving the other night for quite a while. I am looking forward to when the kicks get a little stronger and the boys will be able to feel them.
This week she is the length of a banana (no pic, but I will get some this weekend..promise).
This weekend is the Annual Burns' Night Celebration and I am ready to get all gussied up and have a fancy good time with Mike's family. I will try to remember to get lots of pics.
Have a great weekend!

19 weeks, 18 week picture, & Gender

I have definitely been slacking

on posts, but man I just have not been feeling well lately. I wish I could scapegoat baby but truth be told it is mostly allergy and sinus related.

So this is last weeks, 18 week pic.

The baby was the size of a bell pepper.

I didn't get a pic for this week but I am 19 weeks today. The baby is the size of a large heirloom tomato (can you picture that?)

Other than feeling under the weather things havent much changed around here. I have found out this week that several people close to me are pregnant and I am SUPER excited about it. One is my sister in law Lisa and the other is a good friend (she hasnt told everyone yet, so I can't name names, but I'm soooo excited about it).

I guess the biggest news is that I had a surprise ultrasound last week and IT'S A

wait for it...

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now my days are filled with dreaming of pink and grey for the perfect nursery.

Hope you have a great week!
