Back to school Haircuts- a little late

I'm a little late with this post but back to school is a busy time!

 

We were in desperate need of some back to school haircuts as you can see below...

 

I LOVE this boy with long hair, he always looks so grown up after we get it cut. 

 

We were pretty shaggy from summer...

 

So grown up and ready for back to school

( I think that sucker is the only reason Langston lets me get his hair cut!)

 

Texan Forever

I am proudly Texas born and Texas bred.

My children are Texas born and bred and the hubs and I have no plans to change that.

 

One of my two best sisters ( I only have two sisters- HA), Anna is not quite so lucky.

 

She was not born in the great state and although she was raised here she moved to Nevada after getting married.

 

But she is one of the most Texas proud people I know...she has a TX laptop cover, TX stuff in her house, wants everyone to know she is from the greatest state

and

now

 this...

Why am I sharing this with you??? Because she cracks me up & it made me smile.

 

 

 



Fall Loves!

Dont get me wrong, I love summer and the relaxed style that goes with it but I am always so ready when fall finally rolls around.

 

Maybe it's because summer temps in Texas are killer or because fall fashion is so fun- either way, I'm ready!

My uniform this season is gonna be skinnies/leggings & boots!!
 

Here are some of the things I'm lovin and lookin forward to...

I LOVE a new bag, some in my inner circle might even refer to me as a "bag lady" because I have so many and they are stashed all over my house. There's just something so therapeutic about a clean space to start a new season. Right now I am borrowing this guy in a canvas version from my friend Lauren and it is the perfect amount of space...

I am in LOOOVE with this. I know it's not the traditional fall colors, but I livein Texas and we don't get a traditional fall so there!

With jewelry this fabulous, my oufit can play second note... 

Oh boots. I think these are gonna be my staple. I have a fantastic brown pair from last year that I couldn't get enouh of that were from Target of all places.

These too are from Target and are only $34.99- Crazy Steal!! and they look so comfy

 

 

I love the casual elegant feel of these two looks...

I aspire to be so put together...

 

And lastly, i look forward to a lower maintaince hair color (I know, I know, I do it to myself) I'm think this fantastic shade that Kate is rockin...

I have been having a rough time lately, transitioning back to "real life" after having Miss Monroe has proved to be a challenge.

 

I am discovering that what I used to want isn't what I want NOW.

 

AND that it's ok.

 

This morning I saw this over at Honey Were Home , and it was exactly what I needed to see.

 

 

 

I need to work on putting my trust in God and having Faith that things will work out as they should.

Mallie & Monroe

A few weeks ago, well a month to be more precise, a great friend of mine over at Lindsey's Whimsy's  had her baby so Monroe and I had to go meet her.

 

Here they are at there first playdate.

Lindsey and I are convinced that they are going to be BFF's so why not forge the bond now?!

 

Don't they both look SO thrilled...

 

Many fun times to come I'm sure!

Baby Jack & Monroe

We went to see Mike's sister Lisa and her new baby, Jack this weekend. He looks so much like Langston did as a baby.

 

Langston wasn't so sure about holding him.

 

Keddie on the other hand couldn't get enough. He LOVES babies and always has.

 

I can't find the pic I took of Monroe and Jack, but he makes her look huge . Their birth stats were almost the same. I'm having a hard time with her being 3 months old today.

 

 

I'm sure it's because I know she is my last baby but I am not ready for her to not be a baby.
